The opening day of the WRC’s Rallye Monte Carlo was as exciting and dramatic as it could ever have been. Here’s a brief recap of the day’s action…
The highlights for HANDBRAKES & HAIRPINS was Sebastien Ogier and his Volkswagen Polo R WRC snatching the fastest stag time through SS1, the car’s very first competitive stage. The drive of the day belonged to nine-times WRC Champions Sebastien Loeb and Daniel Elena (Citroën Total Abu Dhabi World Rally Team), setting consistently fast stage times to forge a 01min 20sec advantage over the rest of the field.
