Donaldson Nissan Navara crews made a clean sweep of the top three places in the Production Vehicle overall title chase in this year’s Absa Off Road Championship. IMAGES by MOTORPICS.

Duncan Vos/Ralph Pitchford, Ivar Tollefsen/Quin Evans and veteran Hannes Grobler/Juan Mohr filled the top three places. The Nissan squad scored six wins during the season with five of them going to Vos/Pitchford and the remaining victory to Grobler, who said goodbye to Nissan after 33 years, and Mohr. British-based works Proton team plans two-car attack for IRC in 2010

The British-based works Proton squad is set to field a two-car team in next year’s Intercontinental Rally Challenge. 



With backing from the Malaysian car giant, the team made its IRC debut on the Belgium Ypres Rally last June. Although it expanded to running two cars on Barum Czech Rally Zlin in August, it concentrated on fielding a single entry on all other events it has contested. 

“Next year is going to be a busy year for us with two cars in the IRC,” said team principal Chris Mellors.
