42 M-Sport Ford Fiestas line up for action in Rally de Portugal

M-Sport achieved another boost this week as the team’s range of Ford Fiesta rally cars make up an impressive 49 percent of the Rally de Portugal entry.

Riedemann/Beinke lead on WRC debut

The second round of the 2010 Fiesta SportTrophy International (FSTi) series got underway last night as the competition joined the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) for the Vodafone Rally de Portugal. This is the third time that the FSTi has visited Portugal and the gravel road surfaces combined with the warm climate proved challenging for the six Fiesta R2 entries and one GpN Fiesta ST.

The event kicked off in the Algarve Stadium on Thursday evening with an exciting Tarmac Super Special Stage. Huge crowds flocked to the football stadium to watch the drivers go head to head around the spectacular floodlit 2.03 km speed test. Continue reading Riedemann/Beinke lead on WRC debut

Vodafone Rally de Portugal stage guides – Saturday

The second day of Vodafone Rally de Portugal takes competitors back to a trio of gravel stages in the Serra do Caldeirão hills, north of Faro.

After leaving the Service Park from 0810hrs, crews will tackle a loop of three speed tests before returning to Faro for a 30-minute service. In the afternoon crews will tackle the same loop before they return to the town for the final overnight halt at 1700hrs after 135km of competition.
